Loving Life

So, for anyone out there that actually reads my blog I will update it. I am back in California again and I am nannying. I absolutely love it right now. The family that I am working for are great friends of ours and I love their kids! They are the sweetest kids I know. I am watching their almost one year old twins, a boy and a girl. I am also looking into what I need to do to in order to get my teaching credential here in Cali. There aren't any job openings right now here so I don't feel a major rush to get. I do though want to teach as soon as more become available. I love what I do now, but I can't wait to teach someday hopefully soon! I was able to teach a 2nd grade class last year from April - August and loved it! Well, that's all that is going on in my life right now. Toodles!

Thanksgiving 2009

I went to Ohio again for Thanksgiving this year, and had so much fun with my family. I have to say it was nice not having any homework to worry about and being able to stay out there a lot longer. It was so much fun being able to go and see New Moon with my sister. I had a blast too when everyone came over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so nice to be with the family because Vegas is kinda lonely. I was also able to get most of my Christmas shopping done on Black Friday. This was my second year shopping on Black Friday and I really enjoy it, I mean I really get into it. Well, instead of boring anyone who reads this with more boring info about me and my life I will just post some pics of me and my fam. Enjoy! Oh, and 15 more days until I go home to Cali to see my mom and all of the family out there.

My Graduation Gift!

I know that it has been a while so here is a new post. When I walked at graduation in April my wonderful Grandpa announced that I was getting a car for graduation. I was so surprised because I honestly didn't think that this would be happening for me with the economy and all. But my car a 1998 Nissan Maxima was dying and a new car was desperately needed. We took part in the Cash 4 Clunkers program and I got a brand new 2010 Toyota Prius! It is BEAUTIFUL and all mine!! I LOVE IT!!! It has a built in GPS and Bluetooth, leather, heated seats (that aren't really necessary in Vegas), and is more fuel efficient, and has really cool looking wheels. Here are some pics and for those of you who really know me you know that I name my cars and I am taking suggestions. Past car names have been Josie Jeep, Maximillion Maxima (or more recently Maxi-pad since he has started dying), and ????? Prius. Anyhoo, thank you so much to my Grandpa for my new car (and my mom for driving it out to me) here it is!

My New Apartment

I have officially graduated and I am now living on my own! Here are some pictures of my new apartment. It has been uniquely furnished and I am so grateful to everyone that gave me stuff. I hesitated in posting these because I knew that many of you would be jealous and want your apartmen/home to be furnished just like mine but sorry. The walls are a little bare but thats okay (and no mom I don't want the egg picture). So here are the pictures and as you know I don't know how to layout my blog and so they are everywhere. Thanks again to everyone! Oh, and here are some other pictures from last semester too. :)

GrAdUaTiOn!!!

Hooray! I finally did it! I graduated from BYU-Idaho and am now doing my student teaching in Las Vegas, NV! My mom, dad, step-mom, grandpa, and grandma were there for my big day and I could not have been more happy. We had a great time and I absolutely loved seeing my family! Here are some pictures from the big day! Sorry that the formatting of them is weird but I don't understand how to format them in a way that looks nice. This is the only part about blogging I hate I need tutoring for it.

Red Robin

Hey! It is so cold here in Idaho, and I officially do not like driving in the snow! Anyway, my roommates (and Sterling) and I went to the new Red Robin in Idaho Falls on Saturday to take a break from homework and have fun. We had really good time and were supposed to go ice skating but that never happened. If you know me then you know that I was not too disappointed about this because even the tiniest bit of ice will make me slip and fall. Other than that not much is going on in my life. I am working on my senior practicum right now before student teaching and I am currently in a 3rd grade classroom. I think that I am really going to like it. Here is a picture of us the other night. New Years 2009!

So we decided to go to Disneyland for New Years this year. Boy was that a mistake! The lines for even some of the unpopular rides were at least 75 minutes long. I expected long lines but not that long. I think that it is safe to say that I will never do this again! I have gone for other holidays because I am an annual pass holder but I have never seen it this bad. The parks closed their doors at noon too because they hit capacity and wouldn't let anyone in. Still we had a fun time, we took my little cousin with us so that I could have someone to go on rides with. I was originally supposed to meet a few friends from school but that fell through because my friends father passed away 2 days before Christmas. I send my love and prayers to her and her family. I hope that 2009 is a better year for friends and family than 2008. I've never been on for resolutions but if I had to make one then I guess it would be to serve others more and to be the best daughter, sister, friend, and teacher that I can be. Here are some pictures from our vacation. Enjoy!
